Jeff McGraw
Devoted to photographing the natural world, Jeff has developed his photography in the vibrant landscapes of the pacific northwest. Educated in Anthropology,
Biology and Software Engineering his images mirror these pursuits focusing on
ecology, wildlife and culture. Today Jeff's photography
celebrates the diverse landscapes of the Americas and has been featured
in various publications, journals and juried competitions. His images have appeared
for years in environmental publications and exhibits to help protect critical habitats.
As an engineer at Microsoft Corporation he has worked extensively on interactive
software, graphics and digital animation. This experience solidifed his
belief in the ability of visual arts to communicate ideas effectively. "One of my primary goals as an outdoor photographer and naturalist is to capture the experience of nature
and deliver it. For everyone who for whatever reason can't get out out or
lives in a different region this material is simply a reminder. I want my
images to tug at your senses, pull your sleave and encourage you to take another
look at the world outside your doorstep. With a strong respect for wilderness
(and as a person of faith a belief that wilderness is wrought with the
fingerprints of G*d) I try to create images that are worthy of my subject
matter. So enjoy. I hope these photographs transmit to you the same feeling of awe
and respect for the natural world they do for me."
